The annual Mulga Road Community Christmas Celebration is loved by the neighbourhood – especially the kids! What’s there: face painting, a fire engine, photos with Santa, Christmas band, food tastings and more!

Magic of Christmas
Location: Carwar Avenue, Carss Bush Park, Carss Park
Friends and families of St George share this special local tradition where they gather and have a good time at the Magic of Christmas. It is a festival with special live performances, food & drinks, activities for kids, market-stalls and beautiful Christmas decorations. Hurstville City Carols
Location: Hudson Road, Woodville Park, Hurstville
The festival starts at 4pm, carols start at 7pm.
Held annually, Hurstville City Carols will warm your heart with festive tunes. Once the sun sets, you’ll be surrounded by the twinkles of candlelight. Bring your own candles or purchase glow sticks there to light up the night with your friends and family. There will be a sausage sizzle, kids activities, games, puppets and of course live music and carols. Why not have a picnic whilst your there?
Carols by the Sea
Location: Lady Robinsons Beach, Brighton Le Sands
6 pm to 9 pm
What’s more Aussie than Christmas + the beach? As the name of the event suggests, the beach will be filled with Christmas Carols performed by opera singers and live bands. It’s a kids friendly event – children’s entertainer Jay Laga’aia will be hosting!

Christmas At The Museum & Gallery
Location: Hurstville Museum & Gallery, 14 MacMahon St, Hurstville
10.30 am to 12 pm.
Gather your favourite Christmas colours and outfits with your friends and family! Enjoy the festive party vibe – get crafty and create your own Christmas decorations, enjoy the carols or join in and sing! There will also be games everyone can enjoy.

Christmas in Ramsgate
Location: Bill Batley Square, Ramsgate Road, Ramsgate Beach

Who doesn’t love Christmas lights and decorations? Whenever I walk past a house that’s beautifully decorated, I naturally stop and look in awe. So, grab your walking shoes with your friends and family and see how your neighbours have decorated their home!
Try to spot Santa with kangaroo sleigh with your kids!

These spots are quite famous. Madrers Avenue especially will blow your mind with 50,000 lights, 2 window displays, a singing bear, moving reindeers and much more!

When it comes to the big day, we all know that most shops will be closed and people will be rushing to Coles and Woollies to prepare for a family feast. Carss Bush Park

We’ve mentioned the Magic of Christmas festival above, but Carss Bush Park is a beautiful park on its own. There are plenty of play areas for the kids, go for a walk and set yourselves up for a peaceful picnic with the ocean view
Georges River National Park
Location: 831 Henry Lawson Drive, Picnic Point
For generations, this park has been loved for the nature, BBQ’s and picnics, fishing, relaxation and exercise to say the least! If you love water activities, you can spend hours doing different things with the kids too. Watch out for the jet skiers!
Brighton Le Sands
Location: The Grand Parade, Brighton Le Sands
Why go all the way to Bondi Beach for Christmas at the sea when we’ve got the beautiful Brighton Le Sands? Avoid the tourists and keep it local with your friends and family!
